Look for Mentor always !!

As they say "Change is the only constant thing in life", so we always come across many new experiences in life. Just recollect your latest experience of coming across something new , it might be travelling to new place, a new job, getting a new friend etc.......  All these new experiences can be handled in three ways. Let's analyse these ways with a below scenario which can be understood better :

Scenario :
You have moved to a new place and you are asked to go from Point A to Point B which takes around 30mins . Only the address of Point B is known to you and you have to figure out the route to reach point B, with too many confusing routes 


Let's look at those options :

1. Adventure / Explore :

You don't ask people and you start exploring the route by yourself. Look at a map find out landmarks and explore route by yourself. You observe during the journey.

Advantage :
a. Since you explore by yourself you observe much carefully and experience the journey. 

b. The mistakes done can be avoided when you take the route again.

Disadvantage :
1. Adherence to time can be a challenge, i.e you might or might not reach place B within the allotted 30 mins. 

2. Probability of mistakes are more, i.e you might take take wrong roads and realise after awhile and correct yourself.

2. Hand held :

You are taken to Point B by another person without any instruction / explanations / blind folded of the route.

Advantage: 
1. Since the person would already have traveled through this route many times, he / she is completely aware and therefore would travel much faster and reach your destination on time.

Disadvantage:
1. As you are not briefed or even don't have the opportunity to explore, you miss out on the route and therefore when asked to travel again you would look for another person or worse try option 1 of exploring on your own.

3. Guidance:

The best option is always getting guided by a person who is completely aware. The guide would explain the route with landmarks and the difficulties faced during the journey.

As they say it's always important to have two things in life, one is goal (reaching point B) and other is a guide or teacher. 

Ex: Therefore, to explore any new city the best way is always to travel with local guide who shares the minute details. 

Advantage:
1. Error is minimal as you would be guided to Point B by an expert. 

2. The key points / landmark would be explained so that next time you would to travel in this route without the expert. 

3. You reach within the allotted time. 

Dis-advantage : 
1. It is highly rare in today's competitive world for a person to volunteer and guide you with such patience, until and unless he / she has been instructed to do so.

Therefore, it is important from anyone who has entered a new phase to look for a mentor and ask plenty of questions and walk along with them at their pace to understand and observe the minute details. 

Being guided by an expert during new phase is the best way to experience. These are "My Thoughts", do share in "Your Thoughts".

World is being a more competitive place and to retain customers and increase the sales / turnover of an organisation, there are many things a company can plan / strategize. But many times the company plans to achieve these strategies by squeezing the existing resources.
